Am planning a children's camp based on knights, etc. I need to find a glossary of medievil terms.?
Q. I want to make this childrens' camp thouroughly theme related. I would like to use antiquated medievil terms for food, weapons, dress, housing, animals, games, contests, etc. I am looking for some sort of glossary or lexicon which would contain such. For instance, I beleive "glaive" is antiquated for "sword". Anyone have any ideas?

Do Roman Catholics believe that Celibacy in priests is like Theosis ( being as Christ-like as one can be.?)?
Q. Theosis is an old Greek termdeification," participation in the nature of God (cf. 2 Pet. 1:4) Long Description: "deification," participation in the nature of God (cf. 2 Pet. 1:4); in Eastern Christian theology, the supreme goal of human life. However Theosis is open to all. All can strive to be Christ like.. theosis in Christian theology, particularly in Eastern Orthodoxy, Oriental Orthodoxy and Eastern Catholic theology, theosis (written also: theiosis, theopoiesis, the sis; Greek: , meaning divinization, or deification, or making divine) is the process of transformation of a believer who is putting into practise (called praxis) the spiritual teachings of Jesus Christ and His gospel. A. Being a Roman Catholic who would like to be a priest, I can answer this very simply: HELL NO. While the majority of Catholics (majority of Christians, actually) believe he was Celibate, the Bible says nothing on the matter. Celibacy was a tool brought about by Mother church in the Late Dark Ages so they could hold on to their property (back when the church became corrupt, which they were from about 900-1600). As this need for material possession is no longer inherent (the amount of ordained nobles has drastically declined); then I say a further study on Jesus' life is warranted. Even then I would say priests should get married, but not if they want to be higher than a monsignor (anyone Bishop or higher could not have enough time to… [cont.]
